When we think about healing in the form of travel, Siargao Island comes to my mind. A lot of foreign tourists come to visit Siargao Island to heal, experience a new culture, have fun, and enjoy life. 

Seeing the people and activities to do on Siargao Island, also makes me want to experience the lifestyle there. I imagined myself sitting on the fine sand while watching the sunset go down slowly with my beer beside me. I also romanticised myself doing activities that I don’t usually do. 

HOW TO GET TO SIARGAO ISLAND

The easiest way to get to Siargao is to book a flight through Sunlight Air. They offer daily flights to Siargao Island from Manila, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free journey. Their services are known for their punctuality and excellent customer care, making your trip comfortable and memorable. The estimated time is 2 – 2.5 hours. Which Can cost you around PHP 3,000 to PHP 11,000. Prices can change based on the season, promotions, or time of booking.

If you really want to fly to Siargao but you don’t have enough budget for a direct flight, you can take Cebu Pacific from Cebu. Cebu Pacific offers a Manila to Siargao trip but with a stopover in Cebu, all done on the same day. Which can cost you around PHP 4,447 to PHP 9,294 prices can change depending on the time and date. However, I suggest you don't do this. To maximize your trip.

Is just 5 minutes from one of the world's most famous surf spots Cloud 9, relax to the sound of the waves at this Balinese-inspired high-end resort Siargao Bleu Resort & Spa recognized as one of the most stunning resort views of the Philippines. Which can cost you around PHP 6,000 - PHP 11,495 a night. The prices change based on the date and season. If you have a budget, I suggest this resort. 

Himaya Siargao

Himaya Siargao is a delightful homestay located in the vibrant area of General Luna, renowned for its breathtaking beaches and laid-back island vibes. This charming accommodation caters to tourists looking for a more personalized experience, providing a perfect blend of local culture and comfort. Which can cost you around PHP 3,000 to PHP 5,000. But if you don’t have a budget I suggest this.

ACTIVITIES TO DO IN SIARGAO ISLAND

Surfing Cloud 9: Siargao is renowned for its world-class waves, particularly at Cloud 9, a must-try for surfers of all levels.  If you want to rent a surfboard, there are plenty of places in Cloud Nine where you can do so. The going rate is around PHP 200-300 per hour.

Motorbike Tours: Rent a motorbike and explore the island's scenic routes, including Secret Beach, and enjoy the laid-back vibe. Motorcycle rentals on Siargao Island cost from around 400 to 800 pesos a day, depending on the model you choose.

Sea of Palms viewpoint: The Sea of Palms viewpoint is a great place to come for either sunrise or sunset. 

For me Siargao Island is a place where I can breathe. Even though I haven’t been there. From what I’ve seen on social media, this island shows that it’s not just a destination with beautiful beaches and surfing spot.  It's an escape for people who want to unwind, slow down, and heal. I imagine Siargao as my place to heal.
