TRAVELING IS A FORM HEALING
Traveling has always been a way for me to explore new places, experience new things, or even post on social media to share with others. It became a way of validating my existence, showcasing beautiful destinations as a way to feel connected to the world or gain attention. Instead of allowing myself in the experience, it was more about creating an image of my life. I used likes, comments, and reactions to measure my value in trying to gain validation from others. However, as time went on, I came to understand that although those moments might have felt satisfying at the time, the quiet travel moments were where I found true fulfilment and healing. It was in these quiet moments that I allowed myself to fully experience and appreciate the places I visited, not only for the proof of life they provided me to show others, but also for the clarity and contentment they brought to my soul.
Over time, however, I’ve realized it’s much more than that it’s become a source of healing. When I’m feeling sad, stressed, or alone, traveling offers me comfort and peace. The act of visiting new places, whether it’s a quiet natural landscape or the lively atmosphere of a city, helps me clear my mind and relax. These moments allow me to reflect, recharge, and disconnect from the pressures of everyday life. Travel has become my personal way of finding healing, offering the space I need to feel better and reconnect with myself when I need it the most.
