BUSTLING STREETS IN BINONDO

I’ve always wanted to visit the bustling streets of Binondo. I always saw the busy streets of Binondo in my socials. That is why, I am glad that my instructor said that we should visit some places in NCR.

As I arrived at the Carriedo Station, the famous Neneng B was just downstairs, I was so excited to take a video to send it to my friends. After I calmed myself, I decided to open my Google Maps so I don’t get lost while trying to get to my destination which is in Binondo. While walking, I got to see the famous Binondo Bridge and its basket handle tied-arch bridge. After a long walk, I’ve arrived at the Binondo Chinatown Arch. I have admired the arch for a long time since I saw that this arch represents the friendship between the Filipino and Chinese people.

I took a photo and visited my next destination which was the Binondo Museum, I paid 100 pesos since I am a student. The attendant said that if I post a photo with the #chinatownmuseum I can get a paper passport.

As I entered the museum, I took my time to explore the first exhibit, I took some photos and moved to the next exhibit which involved the artifacts that the Chinoy used. After that, I got excited when I saw a realistic kitchen with some foods like hopia, dumplings, and breads took some photos, and moved on to the next exhibit.

I also saw a realistic restaurant and took some photos. I’m like a child visiting this museum. Because I get to see the history of the Chinoys and Binondo.

After I visited the museum, I got hungry and I decided to visit the streets of Ongpin, which offer a variety of foods. I decided that should try the food with the shortest line and that is the sausage skewers which cost 3 for 150, fresh Dalandan juice which cost 50 pesos for 16 oz, and mango with tajin and salt cost 100 pesos.

After I digest my food, I decided to go home, because I might get stuck during rush hour. Visiting Binondo, as a first timer I can say that it was a good experience. I enjoyed experiencing the chinese culture such as their food, and history. I highly recommend to visit the Binondo.
